Ironically, during a world record attempt at cheddar eating. Mr E Dam gorged on cheddar to a such an extent that he became lodged in Cheddar Gorge. The play on words more than made up for the drop tourism caused by the block pass.
The Osmonds song "Crazy Horses" was originally named "Cheesy Horses", but the record producers heard that The Monkees had released a single of the same name so The Osmonds re-named their song to avoid a hefty lawsuit

El Faro Goats cheese brought in especially from Tenerife. A fabulous cheese with, not surprisingly a goaty flavour. Shown here at the top of Snowdon on the Trig Map as it was too cloudy to get a decent pic of the horizon.
