In 1492, Marco Polo when crossing the English Channel in a submarine hauled by elephants discovered the infamous Cheese Island. This has now been dismantled and currently holds up the Channel Tunnel.
Ironically, during a world record attempt at cheddar eating. Mr E Dam gorged on cheddar to a such an extent that he became lodged in Cheddar Gorge. The play on words more than made up for the drop tourism caused by the block pass.

El Faro Goats cheese brought in especially from Tenerife. A fabulous cheese with, not surprisingly a goaty flavour. Shown here at the top of Snowdon on the Trig Map as it was too cloudy to get a decent pic of the horizon.
Together at last having conquered the tallest mountain in Wales.
