The Astronauts on ISS recently discovered that a 1Kg block of Stilton behaves very strangly in zero gravity. Apparently, it sits staring out of the window for long periods and refuses to join in.
Cheese is not affected by gravity. It only stays pinned to the Earth due to its irrational fear of heights.
That bloke that fell 15,000 feet and survived when his parachute didn’t open properly was actually saved by – wait for it – his cheese sandwiches which cushioned the impact - hurrah! The filling was brie & cranberry and the bread was probably Mighty White
The name of the town Keswick, in Cumbria, England is derived from 'Kesewic', circa 1240, meaning 'farm where cheese is made' from the Old English 'cese' (with Old Scandinavian 'k') and 'wic' (farm).
